Regional representative named for B’nai B’rith mission to Latin America
B’nai B’rith Australia and New Zealand President Janine Zimbler will represent the region on an upcoming B’nai B’rith Leadership Mission to Latin America.
The week-long mission, scheduled for May 3–9, will include official visits to Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. It will bring together senior B’nai B’rith leaders from around the world, including Rob Spitzer, President of B’nai B’rith International, and Dan Mariaschin, Chief Executive Officer.

During the program, delegates will take part in high-level diplomatic briefings and meet with government representatives, policymakers and Jewish community leaders across the region. The mission is expected to provide an opportunity to strengthen international relationships, exchange insights and engage directly with the opportunities and challenges facing Jewish communities in Latin America.
The initiative comes at a time of ongoing concern about rising antisemitism globally, including in parts of Latin America. The delegation aims to deepen mutual understanding, reinforce communal resilience and advance B’nai B’rith’s commitment to advocacy on behalf of Jewish communities worldwide.
Zimbler said she was honoured to represent Australia and New Zealand. “It is a privilege to join colleagues from across the globe in strengthening our shared commitment to Jewish continuity, security and unity,” she said. “This mission will provide an important platform to build meaningful connections and to better understand the evolving landscape of Jewish life in Latin America.”
B’nai B’rith, the world’s oldest Jewish service organisation, continues to play a leading role in promoting human rights, combating antisemitism and supporting Jewish communities around the world.
