“The $1m donation will provide a significant contribution to the development of a community hub in the centre of Caulfield, tailored to our needs that will help us to maximise our support in the community and ensure the most effective delivery of our programs,” said NCJWA(Vic) President, Vivien Brass.

The announcement coincides with the recent appointment of new general manager, Michelle Hayward, who will lead the organisation as it enters into a new phase commencing with the redevelopment of the existing site.  “We are extremely grateful to the Besen family for this significant gift, which clearly demonstrates their ongoing commitment and confidence in our organisation,” Hayward said.

The National Council of Jewish Women of Australia (Victoria) was established in 1927 to provide community support, promote social justice and the empowerment of women in Jewish and general communities. “It is a very exciting time to be joining NCJWA(Vic), as we look to the future and the opportunities that are available to continue to support women across all age groups, and in particular become more relevant to a younger generation of women,” Hayward added.
