Maccabi NSW had a great turnout from the Sydney community in support of the Maccabi Life 5km Fun Run on Sunday.

The event supported ‘Save A Child’s Heart’,  the  Israeli-based international charity providing cardiac, life-saving healthcare to children worldwide raising $582.

Around 70 people registered for the fun and social event held overlooking the Rose Bay foreshore.

Walkers and runners took on the 5km run/walk, with ages ranging from 2 to 77 years old, with a fairly even split between males and females.

The first home was Sadya Liberow with a time of 21.44.

The women’s leader was Nadine Serman with a time of 22.16 and the youth winner was Jared Serman at the 22.09 mark.

A Maccabi NSW spokesperson said: “We are looking forward to continuing Maccabi’s annual support for this fantastic charity and we thank Doron Lazarus for handing out Valentine red roses and heart choccies to brighten and refuel our day.”
