UIA NSW and JCA have launched the 2026 Stanley Roth Philanthropy Fellowship in partnership with Australian Jewish Funders (AJF).

This year, the program has been renamed as the Stanley Roth Philanthropy Fellowship, to honour Stanley Roth z”l who passed away unexpectedly at the end of 2025. Stanley was an exceptional philanthropist and leader in the Sydney Jewish community who led with impact while remaining true to his values and heart.
Now entering its 6th year in NSW, the Fellowship is a values-led leadership journey for Jewish adults aged 25-40 who want to show up more intentionally, personally, communally and philanthropically.
At its core, the program reflects a simple but profound belief that the future of our Jewish community depends on the values-driven leadership of those ready to give their time, talent, treasure, ties, and testimony. It is an opportunity to deepen participants’ understanding of philanthropy and exploring what it means to play a meaningful role in Jewish life, our community, Israel and beyond.
Through five sessions in August of hands-on learning, expert-led sessions and dynamic conversations, participants explore their passions and interests, trends in philanthropy and innovative models of funding and the evolving challenges facing Jewish communities, including the rise of antisemitism and its implications for our future. Participants also gain access to a network of leaders who are helping reshape the way we think about philanthropy.
The program culminates in a powerful act of collective generosity through a ‘Night of Giving’, where the cohort decides together which projects to support. It’s a moment that captures the spirit of the Fellowship: learning with purpose, leading with heart, and giving with impact.
“The Fellowship is a crash course in becoming a more informed, thoughtful and effective giver. Philanthropy isn’t about giving money per se, but it’s more about learning how to give more thoughtfully,” 2025 NSW Philanthropy Fellowship participant Adam Kaye said.
“The Fellowship is for those who want to have an impact on the future of our Jewish community and the community at large; enjoy volunteering and want to develop leadership skills. It’s about giving your time, resources and dedicating yourself and your skillset to helping others.”
As we look toward the next chapter of Jewish life in Australia and beyond, the Stanley Roth Philanthropy Fellowship is building the leaders who will carry us forward. If you’re ready to take your place among them, now is your moment to apply.
