Dive into the irresistible world below the waves, when Disney’s The Little Mermaid floats onto the Scopus stage.

Sasha Baron as Ariel and Harley Efron as Prince Eric.

Over 100 Mount Scopus College students will bring Hans Christian Anderson’s classic fishy-fable to life in a spectacular show featuring enchanting characters and the irresistible award-winning songs from the 1989 Walt Disney film.

The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, who is in love with the dashing Prince Eric and with the world above the water. But when she turns to the evil sea-witch Ursula to give her human legs in exchange for her voice, she gets more than she bargained for. She’ll need the help of all her friends to restore order ‘under the sea’.

Students from Year 7-12 are involved in all aspects of the production from acting, dancing, and singing to backstage, orchestra, make up and front of house. Students have been rehearsing for months, at lunchtimes, after school and on Sundays in preparation for the show.

With marvellous sets and stunning costumes, The Little Mermaid is perfect for all creatures great and small, land or sea!

The Little Mermaid is playing at the Besen Family Performing Arts Centre, March 25-27:
