Over 50,000 people flooded Rabin Square in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening to protest the controversial nation-state law. The demonstration, called by the Druze community, highlighted the ongoing dispute between minority communities and the government.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, joined Minister Ayoob Kara at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem to meet with Israel's Druze spiritual leader Sheikh Muafak Tarif.
Education Minister and Jewish Home Party leader Naftali Bennett said the nation-state law “deeply hurt” the Druze community, an ethno-religious minority group in Israel, adding that the government must “find a way to heal this wound.”
