Sodastream CEO, Eyal Shohat, has called on all SodaStream employees around the world to join in local activities.

“The climate crisis is an emergency and can no longer be ignored. It is our responsibility as leaders to hear and raise the voice of the young generation today and act now.” Commented SodaStream CEO, Eyal Shohat. “Caring for the planet is at the core of our company, and we have to walk the talk even at a price.”

SodaStream, well known for its fight against single-use plastic waste, takes a step further for the environment by standing up for climate change. SodaStream will also shut down its global e-commerce activities for 24 hours starting 8:00am this Friday. All of the SodaStream websites will deliver the message: “Global Climate Strike in Solidarity with the Young Generation for a Better Future.”

For the High Holidays,  SodaStream International Ltd. encourages consumers to add a touch of Israel to their table while saving the planet with special discounts on their website.

All SodaStream products are made in their Negev factory, by Arabs and Jews working side by side in peace and harmony.

A spokesman said: “The company takes its commitment to nature a step further by calling on people not to use single plastics of any sorts this holiday.

And for those not hosting but being hosted, a SodaStream sparkling water-maker makes the perfect gift.”

Recent research conducted by SodaStream* on the preferences of consumers for holiday gifting found two of the SodaStream water-maker core benefits to be widely recognized as important assets for gifting; being eco-friendly and practical.

It is very important for consumers that the gifts they buy are good for the environment. One SodaStream bottle replaces up to 2,000 single-use plastic bottles.

The research also shows that buyers are looking for gifts that will make the recipient’s life easier. SodaStream offers the possibility to turn tap water into sparkling drinks at the touch of a button.
