Maurice Klein speaks with Rabbi Yoseph Nerenberg, Manager of Jewish Life at Jewish Care, who started off as assistant Rabbi and kosher supervisor at Montefiore Homes and has been Rabbi of Age Care at Gary Smorgon House since it opened in 2009, managing the department that puts the Jewish and the L’Chaim in Jewish Care.
All the Jewish Care aged care facilities have a strong emphasis on lifestyle and quality with a heimish, safe, secure and supportive environment, creating a home for the elderly residents that allows them to enjoy the lifestyle they are accustomed to. Jewish Care is much, much more than residential aged care, also providing In-Home Services, Active Living Centres, Social Services, Disability Support and Services, Holocaust Survivor Support Programs, Jewish Life. Jewish Care also provides a large range of social services which support vulnerable members of the community experiencing difficulties, along with a range of educational and advocacy programs designed to strengthen community wellbeing, and much, much more.
