JNF Australia will host two distinguished keynote speakers for its highly anticipated 2023 Annual Events taking place this September.

Israeli-American actress, producer and activist Noa Tishby.

The event will feature Noa Tishby, an accomplished actress and advocate against antisemitism, as well as Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, the  IDF Chief of Staff.

Noa Tishby, a celebrated actress, producer, and author, previously served as Israel’s Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism and Delegitimization. Recognised for her influential speeches and extensive social media following, Noa is actively combating the global rise of anti-Israel and antisemitic sentiments. Her selection as a keynote speaker for this year’s event is particularly meaningful, coinciding with Israel’s 75th year of independence, innovation, and resilience.

Sharing the stage with Noa is Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, the 22nd Chief of Staff of the IDF. Lt. Gen. Kochavi has played a pivotal role in defending Israel, overseeing the successful Operation Guardian of the Wall, which eliminated Hamas’ intricate tunnel system. Under his leadership, the IDF effectively defended against 4,500 rockets launched from Gaza, quelled riots in the West Bank and East

Jerusalem, and adeptly managed the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and political instability.

While the remarkable speakers captivate the audience, the JNF Annual Event also emphasises its vital mission of supporting a significant project aimed at fortifying Israel’s South. This year, the focus is on revitalising the Soroka Medical Centre in Be’er Sheva, the busiest hospital in Israel and a lifeline for the people of the Negev.

By raising funds, JNF Australia intends to collaborate with Soroka in transforming the hospital’s outdoor spaces into enchanting Healing Gardens envisioned by David Ben-Gurion. These gardens will serve as an integral part of treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation for over 750,000 patients and 3,000 children coping with chronic illnesses.
