The current government, Israel’s 37th, was sworn in on Dec. 29, 2022, following elections the previous month. It will be the first to complete a full four-year term in over 50 years, per Hebrew-language media.

Acting Director General of the Elections Committee Dan Livneh said last week that the body is considering conducting the vote count live.

The coming vote will be “the most transparent elections ever,” he said.

“The State of Israel is a country surrounded by enemies. .,, Their goal is to demolish democracy and the Israeli state from within and without,” he said.
