Sydney’s JewishCare has elected a new Board at its AGM.
The Board included new member Tony Leibowitz and David Morris who joined during the year.
Jeffery Engleman was elected Vice President while Allan Vidor and Lawrence Myers retained their positions as President and Treasurer respectively. Tony Breuer and Erica Turek did not seek re-election.
After the AGM, a volunteer and staff appreciation event was held which presented awards for exceptional service over the year.
White Ribbon Day
120 people attended JewishCare’s annual White Ribbon Day Mens Breakfast. The event which aims to rid the community of the scourge of domestic violence included a very informative talk by Dr Michael Flood a Senior Lecturer in Sociology whose research agenda focuses on gender, sexuality, and interpersonal violence.
