The president of The Jewish Community Council of Victoria has spoken out on the daubing of “Jew Die” on the perimeter wall of Mount Scopus College.

Philip Zajac said: “The death threat graffitied on Mount Scopus College, Victoria’s oldest and largest Jewish school, has left our community devastated and in shock. Mount Scopus is a welcoming school where our children and grandchildren go to learn. I went to school there, my children went to school there. Tens of thousands of Jewish Victorians were educated at Mount Scopus. I cannot comprehend the depravity of the person who decided to scrawl that slogan on the school fence.”

He added: “We cannot let this behaviour continue. The JCCV has been warning government, police, other leaders for months that we are heading towards a dangerous place where anti-Jewish hate is becoming normalised. That message has not been heeded and look where we are today. This graffiti cannot be seen as anything other than a death threat against Victorian children on the basis of their faith and culture. It is time for clear action – increase penalties for serious vilification, lower the barrier to prosecution and take steps to prevent hate from continuing to thrive.”

The threatening message has been removed.

Federal Labor MP Josh Burns tweeted: “This unacceptable graffiti at Mount Scopus college has no place in Australia. Everyone and every leader must call this out for what it is – blatant antisemitism.”

Victorian State Liberal MP David Southwick also tweeted posting: :”The ugly face of Victoria – violent threats against Jewish businesses, organisations and now our largest Jewish day school. Jews are being targeted and our leaders do nothing. These haters don’t hate Israel, they hate Jews.”

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allen posted: “The biggest victims of anti-Semitism are children. This is unacceptable in any community, in any school – anywhere. Sending strength to Scopus and the whole community.”

Police are investigating.

Permanently tuned into the ABC I’m afraid I’m beginning to believe presenter Thomas Oriti is becoming more unbridled and biased when referring to the “Palestinian” issues.
To the point of the euphoriant Khant plant you chew and chew on until mouth saturated saturated then spit out resulting in acts such as the above.

The power of the microphone guess.

Can’t say it any better than aussiegooner. What a disgraceful situation. Albanese meeting with Rabbis, meeting with Faith leaders, indeed meeting with the families of some Israeli hostages some months back, none of it makes any real difference. He’s just seen to be doing something and nothing eventuates from that something.

Save your breath. The Victorian Police haven’t lifted a finger to protect the Jewish population in Victoria. They have stood by, even where Jews have been physically assaulted and threatened with violence. They don’t care. The Victorian state and federal governments don’t care. Too many muslim votes in play for Labor to do its job, and the pussy police are too scared to take on islamofascism. Welcome to the 1930s.
