The 55-year-old is accused of sexual offences that allegedly happened while she was the principal of the Adass Israel School in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is due to stand trial in the County Court.

The planned five-week trial before Judge Mark Gamble was expected to start on Wednesday but has instead been postponed to August 22.

Pre-trial arguments before Judge Gamble continue.

The exhibition of a long standing case for how many years?

With the underbelly of another institution irrespective of the Royal Commission it’s life as usual. .

Delayed!!!!!! The girls who purportedly suffered at the hands of Leifer need to have closure & move on. These ongoing delays are cruel & serve only to create more pain for those who have already suffered enough. The wider community wonders how we can continue to postpone this case. It is a bad look for the whole Jewish community

Without deflection Carol, you’re fortunate you only have one case to deal with.
