Priyanka Bansal, a Bialik College staff member, recently appeared on Channel 9’s Millionaire Hot Seat.
During Priyanka’s introduction, Eddie McGuire immediately acknowledges Bialik College and it’s success and achievements saying “that’s a good school, they do very well at Bialik College with … tests and things”.
It is well known outside the Jewish Community that for 16 of the past 17 years, Bialik, a non-selective school, has ranked in the Top 5 schools in VCE in Victoria and is the highest achieving Jewish school.
Priyanka won $1000 and then ‘passed’ on a question – the hot seat was then taken by another contestant who correctly answered a few questions until an incorrect response meant he was knocked out. Unfortunately, the seat was then taken by the third contestant who won $20,000.
