IDF hit Hamas, Islamic Jihad terrorists operating from Gaza school
Israel struck Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists in a command and control centre established in a building formerly used as a school in Gaza City, Israeli security officials said on Monday.

According to the Israel Defence Forces and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), the terrorists holed up in the ‘Fahmi al-Jargawi’ school used the building to gather intelligence and plan attacks.
“The terrorist organizations systematically violate international law, while cruelly exploiting civilian institutions and the population as human shields for terrorist acts,” the IDF and Shin Bet said.
To reduce the risk of harming civilians, Israeli forces used precision weapons, aerial surveillance and other intelligence.
At least 1,180 people were killed, and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the 59 remaining hostages, 36 are believed to be dead.
