The group including Leon Fink  together with advisors Hannah Fink, Mary Vallentine, Robyn Nevin, Sir Jonathan Mills  and Nathans Waks have stated the Foundation’s purpose is to support talented Australians in the performing arts sector by donating a full-bespoke scholarship to further their career.

Together with the opening of Bennelong Restaurant in the Sydney Opera House and the Fink Group’s mission statement to support and nurture talent, the desire to contribute more to the public spirit and performing arts inspired the development of the scholarship program. Each scholarship is designed and tailored for each individual performer.

During the course of 2017/2018 the foundation will be continuing the program to provide each of the Sydney Opera House resident companies with scholarships. Each of the resident companies have

been invited to work with the advisory board to establish the best possible scholarship for their emerging stars.

The first fundraiser will be held on Tuesday 8 November 2016 at Bennelong Restaurant. Guests will be treated to entertainment, bespoke canapés created by Executive Chef Peter Gilmore matched with premium wines that showcase the very best of Australian produce.

Pinchas Zukerman, world renowned violinist, will be present to award the first scholarships.

Tickets cost $500 per person and can be purchased from Elizabeth Hewson at Elizabeth@finkgroup.com.au
