Hakoah has announced a major construction milestone at its new White City precinct, confirming the steel framework for the multi-use courts has now been completed as large-scale work continues across the site.

In its May 2026 construction update, Hakoah said the project was “powering ahead”, with the scale of the precinct becoming increasingly visible beneath “a brilliant Sydney autumn sky”.

The club building is now well advanced, with multiple levels of formwork and scaffolding surrounding the structure while concrete slabs continue to be poured across the site. An orange concrete boom pump and cement trucks remain in constant operation, while two large cranes dominate the skyline.

“This is a serious operation, and the momentum is there for all to see,” the organisation stated.

Across the precinct, concrete is being poured “level by level”, the outdoor pool shell is continuing to take shape, and preparation works are underway on the future sportsfield.

“There is skilled, purposeful activity happening every single day,” Hakoah said.

Hakoah General Manager Rachele Roberts told JWire:

“Progress on site is going beautifully, and we could not be more pleased. Watching the precinct take shape is genuinely exciting and the best is still to come.”

Hakoah described the images as “a vivid reminder of the extraordinary skill and effort that goes into every single level of this building”.

“Between now and opening you will see cladding, glazing, fitout and landscaping transform this extraordinary structure into your new home,” the statement from Hakoah said.

Hakoah’s White City redevelopment has secured substantial support from both the Federal and NSW governments, with an extra $32 million announced in March 2026.

The federal government committed $21 million, while the NSW government provided a further $11 million to assist with infrastructure and security upgrades at the $150 million precinct. These commitments came on top of earlier government support, including $7.5 million from Canberra and $15 million from the NSW Government.

The White City precinct will feature sporting facilities, swimming pools, a gym, hospitality venues and community spaces designed for both the Jewish community and the wider public.

Construction remains on track for expected completion in April 2027.
