Twenty well-known chefs worked at Sydney’s OBK last week to produce 1000 meals for the needy.

Among them was Courtney Roulston, a popular contestant in  MasterChef.

The three course gourmet meals were donated by Le Cordon Bleu Australia and were distributed to five charities.

A recent report pointed out that 1.2 million and 1 in 6 adults had inadequate food supplies through the pandemic.

CEO of OBK Rabbi Dovid Slavin said: “We are extremely humbled to have such a fantastic team of chefs, along with Courtney’s experience to prepare the thousand meals.”

Although being based in the lower floor of Sydney’s Shul, OBK has a non-denominational policy.

“If there are problems anywhere and we can alleviate the situation, OBK’s doors are open to all.”
