Celebrating 100 Years at UIA QLD Gala Dinner
UIA QLD is counting down until its 2020 Gala Dinner with guest speakers Yola Reitman – Former Mossad Agent and The Hon Stuart Robert MP – Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Minister for Government Services on Sunday 15 March in Brisbane. The event will mark the incredible milestone of Keren Hayesod-UIA’s 100 years of supporting the People of Israel.
Yola Reitman
Yola Reitman tells the thrilling, true story of her life as an undercover agent in an enemy land, risking everything for her country and people. As depicted in the Netflix hit film ‘The Red Sea Diving Resort’, Yola was an El Al flight attendant recruited as a Mossad agent, sent to Sudan to smuggle thousands of persecuted Ethiopian Jews to Israel.
The Hon Stuart Robert MP is one of Federal Parliament’s staunchest and most outspoken supporters of the State of Israel and Australian Jewish Community. He is also very involved with the Israel Allies Caucus and a regular visitor to Israel.
Robert previously served as Assistant Minister for Defence, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Minister for Human Services and the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC. In August 2018 he was appointed as Assistant Treasurer and following the re-election of the Morrison Government in May 2019, was promoted to Cabinet as Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Minister for Government Services.
The Gala Dinner will be a unique opportunity for the local Jewish Community to come together and make a contribution to the People of Israel in 2020.
UIA’s 2020 Campaign will once again focus on providing support for the People of Israel.
