Australia, NZ & worldwide Jewish news that matters

Across the political divide

“Over the last decade or so,  I observed and encountered Malcolm Turnbull on many occasions at Jewish communal functions. His affection and understanding of Judaism and Israel were truly impressive.

“I once attended a Chanukah event where Malcolm spoke in English and then switched to Russian, Hebrew and Yiddish. It was heart-felt and seamless.

“His support for Jewish causes and Israel was genuine.  He was a strong friend to the Jewish community and supporter of Israel.”
