Shimon Peres is remembered and recognised as the greatest Israeli to have lived at a memorial service organised by the main Jewish organisations in Melbourne.
A full auditorium at Beth Weizmann Community Centre paid tribute to Shimon Peres z”l and listening to an address from Israel’s ambassador to Australia Shmuel Ben-Shmuel.
