The Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council has dismissed as “laughable” a response it received from the ABC’s Audience and Consumer Affairs (A&CA) division to a complaint it lodged about the panel on the “Q&A” program which aired on ABC TV Thursday May 27.
The ABC’s coverage of Israel - in particular, its highly controversial Q + A program which focused on the recent Israel-Hamas war - was the subject of a high-level meeting between the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) and the ABC leadership at ABC headquarters in Sydney on Monday.
The Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC) has recently lodged a complaint with the ABC’s in-house complaints body regarding the 27 May 2021 episode of Q&A covering the cessation of fighting between Hamas and Israel.
