A new forest has been dedicated in the Negev linking South Australia with Israel.

The South Australia Israel Friendship Forest is part of the Yatir Forest, the largest in Israel. Established in 1964 on the southern slopes of Mt Hebron, the forest covers an area of 30 square kilometers.

James Larsen, Australia’s Ambassador to Israel joined the Jay Weatherill, the SA Minister for the Environment and Efi Stenzler the World Chairman of KKL-JNF for the dedication.
