Following the salvo, Iranian media reported that a ceasefire announced overnight had gone into effect. Israeli officials have not publicly commented on the ceasefire.

According to the Israel Defence Forces, the Iranians launched 11 missiles in five waves. As the Iranian salvo continued, U.S. President Donald touted a ceasefire he announced overnight.

“We couldn’t have made today’s ‘deal’ without the talent and courage of our great B-2 pilots, and all of those associated with that operation,” the President wrote on Truth Social.

Presumably referring to Iran’s attack on the Al Udeid U.S. base in Qatar, Trump added, “In a certain and very ironic way, that perfect ‘hit,’ late in the evening, brought everyone together, and the deal was made!!!”

Trump’s overnight post announcing the ceasefire was not clear about the sequence of events leading up to and following 7:00 AM, nor is it clear if this morning’s salvos were a violation.

In Beer-Sheva, the fatalities were identified as a man and a woman in their 40s, and a man in his 20s, and a woman.

“At the entrance to one of the buildings, a man was lying unconscious, and after scans, two additional victims, a man and a woman, were found unconscious. We performed medical examinations, but unfortunately, we had no choice but to declare them dead,” said Magen David Adom paramedic Dvir Ben-Zeev.

The four people killed in this morning’s attack on Beer-Sheva were in a protected room when a ballistic missile directly struck their building, Israel’s Home Front Command said.

MDA added that at least 20 people were injured.

Authorities called on the public not to approach the scene.

“This is a difficult and shocking event. When we arrived at the scene, we saw immense destruction, some of the injured were found under the rubble,” said Shimon Zaguri, the Beer-Sheva commander for ZAKA, an emergency response organization. ZAKA is a volunteer organization that responds to emergencies, assists in disaster victim identification, and collects human remains.

Israel launched preemptive strikes against Iranian nuclear sites on June 13, citing intelligence that Tehran had reached “a point of no return” in its pursuit of nuclear weapons. According to Israeli defense officials, Iran has developed the capacity to rapidly enrich uranium and assemble nuclear bombs, with sufficient fissile material for up to 15 weapons.

Israeli intelligence also exposed a covert program to complete all components of a nuclear device. The strikes marked a dramatic escalation in what officials describe as a broader Iranian strategy combining nuclear development, missile proliferation, and proxy warfare aimed at Israel’s destruction.

On Monday, Israel expanded its strikes to include assets tasked with securing the Iranian regime’s hold on power, including internal security forces and Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison.

On Monday night, Iran launched missiles at the al-Udeid U.S. Air Base in Qatar in retaliation for American strikes on nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
