Usually on Lag B’Omer, we make sure to shut all our windows so that smoke from the bonfires does not enter.

This year for the first time we were able to keep them open as the air was pristine and smoke-free. Instead of uncontrolled bonfires polluting the atmosphere and causing an environmental hazard, new regulations mandated strictly controlled and limited conflagrations.

It has taken a long time to raise awareness about the harmful effects of lighting fires in urban environments, but slowly, the message is getting through. There are still places where educating the masses has yet to succeed, but one hopes that sooner rather than later, common sense will prevail.

EXPOSING THE TRUTH

An incredibly brave Islamic scholar shocked his audience as he revealed some startling facts in Al Aqsa Mosque.

One hopes that his revelations do not incur lethal repercussions because they directly contradict the fables spread by those who demonise Israel and Jews.

Will his expose make any difference to the false narratives swallowed by the masses and international groups? Hardly likely one assumes.

HELPFUL ADVICE

Tourists and even many Israeli locals find filling up cars with fuel can often be a difficult exercise.

Enjoy this light-hearted but definitely useful video as an Israeli tour guide endeavours to help the perplexed.

With the motley crew surrounding him would it be sinking in I wonder?
