The long hot days of summer have arrived which means that parents must organize themselves in order to keep their children busy and happy.

Many families head overseas for adventures in foreign countries although international travel these days is fraught with hurdles and obstacles and there is no guarantee that your luggage will actually catch up with you.

Those who stay home have the opportunity to send their children of all ages to camps which provide a wide range of activities suited to all interests. Many older teens enroll as youth leaders and counselors both in Israel and with Jewish summer groups in Diaspora communities.

Meanwhile, Israel welcomes an influx of visitors including thousands of participants in the forthcoming Maccabiah Games.
