The drama associated with the formation of a new “change” coalition is entering its final stage and soon we will know whether Israel’s politicians have managed to finally put the interests of the country ahead of personal egos.
While we hold our collective breaths for this tortuous theatrical to come to a successful conclusion it seems that good news is once again hard to find.
However here are three items which managed to emerge.
ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS
Israel is lucky to be bordered by two oceans, namely the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. Both these stretches of water enable Israelis to enjoy water sports and diving.
Perhaps not quite so well known are the projects in conservation and innovation which contribute to the conservation of Israel’s marine habitats.

MAZALTOV – IT’S A BOY
A few days ago a baby male rhinoceros was born at the Ramat Gan Safari Park. Mother and child are doing well which is a great relief for the park rangers. This is baby number three for the proud mother.
The as yet unnamed rhino is part of Israel’s ongoing campaign to preserve and save this endangered species.
