Uncertainties about the efficacy and long term protection provided by the various corona vaccines now being distributed and whether community immunity will finally kick in maybe exercising the minds of our experts at the moment.

However, the answer to the question posed above is related to an annual conundrum. Will the Kinneret finally overflow this winter and will the dam be opened in order to prevent flooding in Tiberias and send precious water down the Jordan River and the depleted Dead Sea?

With the rainy season still with us until at least the beginning of March and the lake being fuller than at any time since 2013 the chances are high that this will occur.
