Matthew Guy, the Victorian Minister for Planning and Multicultural Affairs has been given a tour of Melbourne’s Beth Weizmann Community Centre.
Minister Guy was joined by David Southwick MP, Member for Caulfield and Elizabeth Miller MP, Member for Bentleigh on the tour of the community centre and the Lamm Jewish Library of Victoria.
A light lunch, hosted by the Zionist Council of Victoria included a round table, informal discussion with the attendees regarding their work, community needs, their co-location in a Jewish community hub as well as security issues.
Presidents of the major organisations who are tenants at Beth Weizmann were invited to attend.
Minister Guy was thrilled to get to know the Jewish community centre and the organisations that spend the most time in this precinct.
