Melbourne remembers fallen hostage
It has now been confirmed that Hamas hostages Kfir (9 months), Ariel (4), Shiri (32) and Oded (84), brutally seized from their homes on 7th October 2023, died in the terror tunnels of Gaza.
In memory of Kfir, Ariel, Shiri and Oded, and in honour of the beautiful Bibas boys, Zionism Victoria invites members of the community to join us on Sunday as we pin orange flowers on a memorial wall.
Zionism Victoria president Elyse Schachna said: “Today is yet another reminder of the cruel and twisted ideology of those who kidnap and murder mothers and babies, children and the elderly.
Three generations of one family wiped out. A husband, Yarden, left to bury his wife and children. Where is the global outrage? Where was the Red Cross? The silence of human rights groups for the past 16 months has been deafening.”
The world must wake up to the true nature of this sick and savage ideology that has no interest in peace, driven solely by a desire to destroy the Jewish State and Jewish lives.”
Elyse Schachna added: “At this terrible time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Bibas and Lifshitz families – and the loved ones of all those who still remain captive in Gaza.”
