Hey Hey Esther’s at the Toronto Film Festival

The Australian movie with a strong Jewish theme, “Hey Hey It’s Esther Blueberger” will be shown at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival later this month.Written and  directed by Cathy Randall, the movie deals with a Jewish girl in a private school where she cannot find a single girl willing to come to her Batmitzvah…but one girl does emerge from the pack to help Esther deal with her angst…and change her life.

Toni Collette is an executive producer and plays a role in the movie.

The Toronto festival opens on April 18.
