Israel’s ambassador to New Zealand Ran Yaakoby was warmly welcomed this week to the City of Sails by Auckland Mayor Phil Goff.

Ambassador Yaakoby sees the sights of Auckland

They had a fruitful meeting, followed by a tour of the newly developed beautiful world stage for the 36th America’s Cup – at the Wynyard Quarter.

During his visit, Ambassador Ran Yaakoby met with business leaders in Auckland, where they discussed how Israel & New Zealand businesses can complement each other, including in innovation, hi-tech, cyber, and other fast-growing industries.

The Ambassador also connected with the city’s Jewish community.

An embassy spokesperson told J-Wire: “A big thank you to all who made Ambassador Ran Yaakoby’s first visit to Auckland a success. It was a fruitful and enjoyable time and the Ambassador looks forward to returning to this vibrant city soon.”
