Stephen Harper, 22nd Prime Minister of Canada, will headline an amazing line up of speakers for the UIA Campaign this year across Australia next week.

Stephen Harper

During his time as Prime Minister, Harper proved to be one of Israel’s greatest friends. As a world leader, his open and unambiguous support for the State of Israel was almost unparalleled.

When Harper finished his term in office in November 2015, the Jerusalem Post wrote “What is unlikely is that anyone in the near future will outdo him regarding the passion, consistency, sincerity and intensity of his support for Israel.”

Tzur Goldin

An editorial in the Times of Israel claimed that he was undoubtedly the world leader most supportive of Israel and that when he finished his term Israel would lose one of its best friends on the international stage.  Harpers administration was in Benjamin Netanyahu’s dream team.

Harper is undoubtedly one of the most high profile speaker to address our Community in many years and this is one of his first ever public engagements outside of Canada.

Prime Minister Harper will appear in Sydney and Perth for the UIA General Divisions and in Melbourne for Women’s Division event as well as a business lunch with the Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce.

He will be joined in Sydney and Perth by Tzur Goldin. Tzur is the twin brother of 1st Lt. Hadar Goldin z’l whose body is being held by Hamas. Hadar was killed during an ambush from a tunnel in the 2014 Operation Protective Edge in Gaza.

Hadar and his family have been engaged in a campaign for the last two and half years to ensure the return of their son and brother for a proper burial. He will share the family’s story with our community.

Events will sell out and seating is limited.

Sydney February 27, Perth February 28, Melbourne March 2.

To book or for more information call your local UIA office.
