US envoy to Israel, rabbis pray at Western Wall for Trump’s recovery
U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and leading Israeli rabbis prayed at the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Monday for those affected by the coronavirus, including U.S. President Donald Trump.

Israel’s two chief rabbis, Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi David Lau and Sephardi Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, and Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion joined the select invited guests, who live within about a half-mile of the Western Wall, or Kotel.
“May He who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Moses, Aaron, David and Solomon send healing to Donald John, son of Fred,” recited Rabbi of the Western Wall Shmuel Rabinovitch. “May the Holy Blessed One overflow with compassion for him, restore him, cure him, strengthen him, enliven him.”

Trump, who also serves as the commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland on Friday after being diagnosed with coronavirus and suffering symptoms of the disease. His wife, first lady Melania Trump, also tested positive, though has remained at the White House.
Three legislators—Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), Sen. Thom Tillis (R-Fla.) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.)—and a growing number of staff members at the White House have also tested positive for COVID-19.
