UIA NSW Women’s Division is bringing two of the Jewish World’s most high profile advocates to Sydney.

The plight of European Jewry and the continual efforts to deligitimise Israel are constant topics around Shabbat tables across the community. These two guests will give the Jewish women of Sydney the opportunity to hear firsthand from two people dealing with these issues daily.

Dr Einat Wilf campaigns tirelessly against the delegitimisation of Israel around the world.

A former Member of Knesset, Foreign Policy advisor to Shimon Peres and Intelligence Officer in the IDF she has held a number of International consultancy positions including as a Senior Fellow with the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute.

Her latest compilation of essays on Israel and Zionism, Winning the War of Words is being heralded for its clarity and vision.

Dr Richard Prasquier presents his perspectives on the status of the Jews of Europe.

A cardiologist by profession Richard is immediate past President of the CRIF (federal peak body of the French Jewish Community) and Vice President of the European Jewish Congress.  Richard is currently President of Keren Hayesod-UIA France and sits on the Jewish Agency Board of Governors.

Richard will be able to comprehensively and intimately give an understanding of life in France today for the Jewish Community and in particular in the wake of the recent major terrorist attacks.

A large percentage of funds raised by the Women’s Division this year will be directed to assist victims of terror as well as UIA specific projects

touching new Olim, disadvantaged schools and those living in the more vulnerable areas in the South of Israel.

With recent renewed attacks and wave of terror currently engulfing every sector of Israeli society, no one is left untouched. Everyone is a potential victim – young, old, citizen and soldier, secular and religious.

Keren Hayesod-UIA’s supported Victims of Terror Fund is on the ground, ready to spring to action to provide immediate support and backing to help anyone, anywhere.

The Tikvah Young Women’s Division will hear from Sydney Expat Sarah Vanunu who has built a remarkable life in Israel. Funds raised through this division will go toward a Pre Pesach enrichment camp for new Olim at the Yeílim Absorption Centre in the South.
