One Response to “UIA Major Donors”
  1. Ron Burdo says:

    “Charity begins at home”.

Israel enjoys an annual GDP of about $35,000 per capita, it is not a third-world country that depends on donations from overseas to survive.
Israel is a country where most 8-years-old kids have their own smartphones, the roads are jammed with new cars, and people queue at popular restaurants although dining out is expensive. Israelis have enough of their own.

Dear donors, would be better is your warm generosity helps Australian Jewry rather than Israelis. The rising housing and education costs make our community unsustainable. How many young Australian Jews can afford living among their own people? How many can afford a Jewish day school, or have access to after-school Jewish education? And what about elderly people, who hardly make their living? This is where your donations should go to.
