TPS can confirm that at least three civilians were murdered in a terrorist shooting attack in the town of Elad in Samaria and 4 other people were wounded.

Police suspect that there were two gunmen who are still at large.

The attack came as Israelis were ending a day of celebrations for their nation’s 74th Independence Day.

United Hatzalah volunteers are currently treating a number of people who have been injured on Ibn Gvirol Street in Elad.

Due to the nature of the incident, the Psych trauma and Crisis Response Unit, which is tasked with providing psychological first aid and emotional stabilization to those who have experienced traumatic incidents, has been dispatched in addition to EMS first responders.

Moshe Saadon, head of the Ihud Hatzalah branch in Elad, reports from the scene:
“Unfortunately, one of the wounded on whom we performed resuscitation died. We also provided assistance at the scene to two fatally injured [victims], three seriously injured, another moderately to severely injured, and a number of minor casualties.”

According to the Police spokesman, there are apparently a number of hotspots in the Elad Amphitheater Park.

Police forces from all Central District stations were rushed to the scene.

At this point, checkpoints were deployed along the arteries, while police searched a helicopter for another vehicle that was seen fleeing the scene.

Less than a week ago on a Friday night, a security guard was murdered in a terrorist shooting in Ariel, which is also in Samaria.

This is now the 7th such attack in the past month with a total of 20 people killed.

Zionism Victoria president Yossi Goldfarb said, “Just two days after Yom Hazikaron, when Israel commemorates the 28, 284 Israelis killed in acts of terror or defending their country, another three names have tragically been added to the list.

“Compounding the tragedy, this horrific terrorist atrocity took place on Yom Ha’atzmaut, casting a dark shadow over the most joyous day in the nation’s calendar when it celebrates the anniversary of its independence.

“Zionism Victoria mourns their loss, sends its condolences to their families and prays this senseless bloodshed will end soon.

“While we welcome the condemnation of this latest attackby Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, we note with sorrow that just a few days ago Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar praised lone wolf assaults, adding, ‘Whoever has a gun should prepare it, and whoever does not have a gun should prepare his cleaver, axe, or knife.’

“That an axe was reportedly used in the attack in Eldad is clear evidence that the incitement to violence and murder from Hamas has an impact, and that this terrorist regime in Gaza must be universally condemned.”

ZFA President Jeremy Leibler said, “Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, to the children now made fatherless.”

Mr Leibler continued, “The scenes of Palestinians celebrating the murder of innocents is heartbreaking and outrageous. For the sake of peace, this barbaric practice of calling for bloodshed and then glorying in its aftermath must be condemned by all countries and leaders.”
