Deborah Katz organised a weekend for Jewish singles in Melbourne last year and in August she will repeat the successful event in Sydney.
Katz told J-Wire: “At last year’s event more than 300 people from mainland Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand participated. We had a Shabbat dinner, a Shabbat lunch and a Saturday night party. As a result of the singles’ weekend, two have announced their engagements and there remains a lot of interstate activity as relationships formed at the weekend continue to develop.”
The Singles Weekend in Sydney will take place between August 5 and August 7 and single Jews between 28 and 60 are invited to attend.
