One killed, four injured in Haifa stabbing attack
An Israeli man was killed and four others injured in a stabbing attack at a Haifa mall on Monday morning.

Emergency responders identified the fatality as a 70-year-old man.
Four other victims were taken to Haifa’s Rambam Hospital. According to Magen David Adom emergency responders, a man and a woman in their 30s and a boy around 15 are in serious condition. The fourth victim, a woman in her 70s, is in moderate condition.
Police said the terrorist was killed at the scene.
“I went to the scene along with all sorts of other drivers. We were dealing with a relatively serious incident of a terrorist stabbing and injuring people. We have an incident of three seriously injured, one lightly injured and one killed. Let’s hope things get better,” said MDA driver Baruch Linshe.
The Hamifratz mall is also a the city’s central bus and train station.
In the aftermath of the attack, Israel Railways trains on certain lines would temporarily not stop at Hamifratz while other lines stopping there continued on schedule. Israel Railways said this was based on police guidance.
Medical workers from the adjacent Assuta-Haifa Medical Center rushed to the scene on learning of the attack.
In recent years, Palestinian terror attacks have surged during the Islamic month of Ramadan, which began on Friday night.
