On the other hand

If you haven’t visited Israel recently, you will be amazed at the enormous infrastructure work which is taking place, especially with highways and train transportation.

One of the wonders of the Jerusalem transport transformation is the Yitzhak Navon railway station, one of the deepest terminals in the world. Opened four years ago, it caters to an increasing number of travellers who find the 25-minute ride to Ben Gurion airport and the 35-minute commute to Tel Aviv a hassle-free experience.

This fast train avoids all the traffic congestion on the motorways, and with a train leaving every 30 minutes, it is far more relaxing and efficient.

Why suffer congestion on the roads when you can ride in air-conditioned comfort, avoiding stress and delays?

In recent times an additional line from Jerusalem to Modi’in has opened, making commuting even more efficient.

With the electrification of Israel’s rail network, pollution from diesel engines is also decreasing.

One word of caution for intending first-time commuters. Take into account the time needed to access or exit the platforms.
