Melbourne: RALLY TONIGHT
5PM – before Shabbat.
Israel solidarity rally at Caulfield Park organised by Zionism Victoria on behalf of all the principal Jewish community organisations.
The Premier, Jacinta Allan, and Opposition Leader, John Pesutto, will both be addressing the rally.
The event begins at 5 p.m. and is scheduled to run for an hour. Aside from the Premier’s and Opposition Leader’s addresses, it will feature reflections from those impacted by the war, a few prayers and communal singing.
The rally is being held on the oval on the Balaclava Road side of the park and has been planned in consultation with both Vic Police and the Community Security Group (CSG).
As well as the flyer, I am also attaching a photo of John Pesutto signing the condolence book at the Beth Weizmann Jewish Community Centre yesterday.
Zionism Victoria, which runs the centre, was honoured to host Mr Pesutto, who spent over an hour meeting staff from the various communal organisations based in the building, many of whom have close family in Israel.
