Man charged after alleged firearm incident at Cremorne synagogue
A 23-year-old delivery driver from Lurnea, Mr Vincent Filemu Faasii, has been charged in connection with an incident outside Cremorne Synagogue on Sydney’s Lower North Shore on 7 October 2025.
Police allege that the man, along with another male, was travelling in a truck along Yeo Street when a firearm was pointed from the vehicle at two security guards stationed outside the synagogue.
The incident occurred around 9.55 am and resulted in the arrest of two men around 11.30 am in nearby Mosman. One was a 23-year-old passenger; the other a 21-year-old driver. The date was particularly significant, as it coincided with the second anniversary of the Hamas terror attacks on civilians in southern Israel.
