Maurice Klein speaks with Jason Steinberg, President of Queensland Jewish Board of Deputies (QJBD).

The Board made a submission to a Queensland Parliamentary inquiry into vilification and hate speech, which has resulted in legislation to be introduced that will criminalise the intentional display of symbols to promote hatred or cause fear such as the swastika. We also heard about activities of the Queensland Jewish community which is well spread out, and which has also experienced a malicious rise of antiSemitism.
