Honig wins American award for global startup of year

Australian company Honeylight Enterprises Pty Ltd trading as Greenville has been named 2021 Global Startup of the Year in the 18th annual Stevie® Award.

The Stevie® Awards are based in America and hailed as the world’s premier business awards, honouring the top female entrepreneurs and the companies they run worldwide.

Honeylight Enterprises Trading as Greenville Developments is headed by well-known Australian businesswomen Beverley Honig. The award was in recognition of building innovation and sustainability.

In accepting the award, Chairman Beverley Honig said: “With a tough year behind us I feel so honoured to be recognised in this year’s Global Stevie® Awards and super excited that Greenville Developments was announced Global Start-up of the Year. This is as much a tribute to my team as it is to the eco-pods® we produce for affordable, mobile living and working. It is a recognition of our vision to help people innovate. She added “I’ve learnt that people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. Caring for the planet, people and purpose is our common goal; and it’s our clients who empower us to do our small bit to save the planet. Greenville Developments repurposes shipping containers into remarkable spaces, such as FuturelabTM, shops, offices, granny-flats, mancaves. teenage retreats and affordable homes. Its clients span from markets to multinational oil and gas companies, where it builds hi-tech carbon- neutral mobile Future Innovation labs for future collaborative STEM research. Beverley added: “With its global presence, Woodside Energy was our partner of choice, being recognized for its world-class capabilities”.

Stevie® Awards Judges said “It’s exciting to see a woman owned business excelling in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Greenville Developments is positively impacting the world, using its innovations to transform the field altogether”.

Beverley Honig is also the co-founder of Aboriginal Enterprise First Nations Blockchain® that protects Indigenous Artists’ rights using Blockchain. She is an alumnus of Melbourne Business School, a chief examiner at Monash University, and a long-standing Director of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, promoting and facilitating multilateral trade for decades.
