CEO of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce Charles Nightingale will be the only male joining 36 delegates in the first ever all-women trade mission to Israel.

The Women Leaders Trade Mission to be led by Lucy Turnbull and AICC chair Jillian Segal will include Australian women playing senior roles in key sectors of technological advancement, innovation, medical research and education. The objective of the mission is to explore business and investment opportunities in Israel as well as understanding its unique entrepreneurial culture and innovative eco-system.
In a statement released by the AICC , the participants will experience:
• An insight into Israel’s unique entrepreneurial and start-up ecosystem
• An understanding on how Israel fosters and promotes innovation
• An opportunity to explore investment and business opportunities
•Gain access to key Israeli influencers and enable a sharing of innovative business ideas and opportunities

•Network with fellow Australian executives, forming long-lasting valuable relationships
•Enjoy geo-political briefings, cultural experiences, networking events and visits to some of Israel’s most iconic tourist destinations, including the Old City of Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Masada.
The participants are scheduled to visit Yad Vashem, to experience a traditional Shabbat meal, lay wreaths at the Mount Scopus Commonwealth War Graves and visit the Dead Sea and Masada.
They will also meet with Nir Barkat, the Mayor of Jerusalem, visit the Hadassah and Rambam hospitals and meet with many of Israel’s leading businesspeople.
A spokesperson for the AICC told J-Wire: “The focus of the Mission will mainly be on innovation, cybersecurity and fintec.” Chair and joint mission leader Jillian Segal added: “”This is a very special opportunity for leading business women to spend some time absorbing and understanding the innovation culture in Israel and hopefully bringing back some initiatives to their companies in Australia.”
