Iranians have marked the 39th anniversary of the Islamic revolution with a milder display of nationalism. Every year this is celebrated with the burning of Israeli and American flags, and chants of Death to America and Israel.
In this week’s cartoon. Trump is stamping out that fire with shoes saying Renewed Sanctions. The sanctions were put into effect on their 39th anniversary, essentially giving them a (sarcastic) anniversary gift.
