Mum for Mum has organized an event to promote “awareness-raising” for those working in the field of Domestic Violence.

After the expert panel speak, Jewish Care, Jewish House, Jewish Alliance against Family Violence and Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce will briefly share what supports they offer to the community.  A Q and A will follow.

Over the past year alone, Mum for Mum’s 160 volunteers supported over 250 new mothers experiencing difficulties whilst transitioning to parenting.

The number of new parents seeking our service continues to grow rapidly, as does our volunteer base. In their critical support role, Mum for Mum volunteers too often witness the devastation caused by domestic and family violence. As an organisation, we continue to train our volunteers to cope with these situations. We have seen that it is possible to make a meaningful difference when knowledge, strong leadership and resources are brought together. As a community, we have the capacity to move from passive bystanders to collaborative changemakers.
