After its inaugural conversation with Natan Sharansky, the Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA) is continuing its Lockdown Learning series by having an online conversation between Israeli Ambassador Mark Sofer and ZFA President Jeremy Leibler on Sunday, at 8pm AEST.
The two will be talking about a life of active Zionism, life as a diplomat, the embassy’s role in organising the historical El Al flights to Australia, and the ambassador’s role as adviser to Shimon Peres during the Oslo period, including when Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated in 1995. The conversation will be live-streamed on the ZFA Facebook page, and Mark and Jeremy will be taking questions from the audience.
