Celebrate Israel’s 70th birthday with UIA
UIA has announced that it will host six Israel missions in 2018 to celebrate the State’s 70th birthday. The range of missions on offer means there are options available for all ages.
To make the 70th year extra special, new missions for 2018 include a singles’ mission with JJunction, a Medical & Dental mission; and a Golden Age mission for seniors.
UIA’s missions to Israel aren’t just about touring the iconic sites such as Yad Vashem, the Kotel Tunnels, Masada, Latrun, the Shuk, Knesset and the Golan Heights. Nor are they only about the premium accommodation or meals at award-winning restaurants and wineries that participants will experience. The missions are also about the education and encounters with world-class guides that few other tours can offer. Participants will also meet with high-profile speakers who have helped shape Israel’s history and society.
Most notably, UIA’s missions give participants the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of Israel, while also gaining an understanding of the significance of the funds raised here in Australia. Participants will meet the people whose lives are directly impacted by UIA-sponsored projects, such as the Net@ Youth Technology Program – which transforms youth-at-risk into high-tech programmers, Ayalim – which aims to revitalise towns and disadvantaged neighbourhoods through community volunteer initiatives; and Aliyah rescue and absorption support.
UIA and JJunction’s singles’ mission for 26-40 year olds will include authentic cultural experiences, food, art and nightlife; along with private parties, speed dating and the chance to meet singles from around the world.
The inaugural Medical & Dental mission will incorporate visits to key medical sites in Israel, and meetings with leading healthcare professionals and innovators. Our Golden Age mission will be a specially-tailored experience for senior participants.
