The Outdoor Recreation Party is campaigning for less regulation of outdoor activities, including 4WDs, motorcycling and access to National Parks.

“The Outdoor Recreation Party believes in controlling feral animals in National Parks,” said Mr Tayshus. “I always thought Barry’s name was O’Feral, so it fits.”

Austen Tayshus (aka Sandy Gutman) was a candidate for the Sex Party in the Federal election in August, running against Tony Abbott..

“I’m into recreation, whether it’s indoor or outdoor,” he said.  “As long as the government doesn’t try to tax it or control it. In the Federal election, my policy was to erect the Abbott-proof fence to keep out budgie smugglers. Maybe I should extend it to keep out ferals.”

The Outdoor Recreation Party is fielding a ticket of 15 candidates for the Legislative Council (Upper house) and several candidates for the Legislative Assembly.

  1. Peter Whelan says:

O’Feral is just as bad as Labor at offering more ways of wasting taxpayers hard earned money. Austen is simply trying to highlight that the “liberals” are just another high-tax, over-regulating party. Now voters have a choice to cut red and green tape, cut taxes and have more freedom.
